Coalition Lauds Forever GI Bill Signing

Yesterday, President Donald Trump signed The Harry W. Colmery Educational Assistance Act of 2017 or ‘Forever GI Bill’ into law. James Brown, the Executive Director of Coalition released the following statement:

“The STEM Education Coalition applauds the Forever GI Bill becoming law. We thank the legislators and veterans groups who spent countless hours working on this bill for their dedication. Thanks to this new law, hundreds of thousands of veterans and their families have an increased opportunity to pursue their educational goals. Specifically, the Coalition is pleased provisions to increase benefits for veterans pursuing STEM degrees were included in this package. The Coalition recognizes the flood of knowledge, talent, and leadership that student veterans will add to high-needs STEM fields. We thank all veterans and their families for their sacrifice and look forward to more of this diverse, skilled population bringing innovation to the STEM workforce.”
