“We praise today’s bipartisan House passage of the Rural STEM Education Act.  This legislation recognizes the emergent need to invest in research, education programs, and other pathways that will enable more students from rural areas to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.  Our Coalition has long supported policies that will be bring more diversity to the STEM fields from every part of our nation and this bill is a great step in that direction.  We hope the Senate will quickly take up this thoughtful legislation to open up more avenues of opportunity for students from all across our vast country to pursue the best jobs of the future.”
