Leadership Council Welcomes Expertise of the College Board

The STEM Education Coalition is excited to announce the College Board has joined our Leadership Council. The College Board is a not-for-profit organization created in 1900 to expand access to higher education. Today, their membership numbers over 6,000 of the world’s leading educational institutions. Each year, the College Board helps more than seven million students prepare for a successful transition to college through programs and services in college readiness and college success — including the SAT and the Advanced Placement Program. The organization also serves the education community through research and advocacy on behalf of students, educators and schools.

Executive Director of the Coalition James Brown said “Adding the College Board to our Leadership Council couldn’t have come at a better time. With higher education at the forefront of the education conversation in Washington, we look forward to the College Board bringing their deep understanding of how we can better support students in their transition to post-secondary education.”
