Channel One News Joins Coalition's Leadership Council

The STEM Education Coalition is proud to announce that Channel One News, a Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Company, has joined the Coalition’s Leadership Council. For more than two decades, Channel One News has been bringing the latest news from around the world to the classroom, with a special focus on common-core aligned news programming.  The mission at Channel One News is to encourage students to be informed, digital-savvy global citizens. They are a Peabody and Telly award-winning program broadcast to nearly 5 million young people across the country. Their daily news show and supplementary educational materials are aligned to Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and designed to help students, teachers and parents interpret the news and spark important conversations.
